由于我国工艺水平的限制，轴承套圈的密封唇和密封槽很难做到每个都符合图样标准。特别是内圈密封槽系车加工成型，公差范围大，实际结构容易偏离设计，尺寸也有大有小，于是造成了密封存脂性能的参差不齐。
八环公司研究设计的动态追随式密封结构，就是在密封圈和密封槽做得不太标准的情况下，通过密封唇追随密封槽的变化而使密封圈的内密封唇与内圈密封槽始终良好接触，进而保证密封存脂性能的一致性和可靠性。（八环公司）
